Open the Edge Editing Modal
Click on the specific edge you want to split.
A modal will open with one of the following titles, depending on the edge you selected:
Editing Right Edge
Editing Bottom Edge
Editing Left Edge
Editing Top Edge
Method One: Add a Segment
In the modal, click Add Segment.
This will add Segment 2, and a modal listing all segments will open.
Each segment has a red delete (trash) icon.
Click the icon to delete a segment.
A confirmation modal will appear with:
Cancel – discards the deletion.
Delete – removes the segment.
Below the segments, use the dropdown to select the edge type you want.
Enter the length for the segment using the two textboxes:
One for feet
One for inches
Ensure that the total length of all segments matches the full length of the edge.
If the total exceeds the edge length, an error message will appear showing how many feet it has exceeded.
Method Two: Add a Segment Using Add Block
Click Add Block.
A modal will open with four options:
Add DeckBox
Add Landing
Add Stair
Add Bumpout
Clicking any of the four options will automatically add a segment to the selected edge.
You can click:
Back – to return to the Editing Edge modal.
X – to close the modal.
