Updated this week

Version 2.2.9 introduces practical enhancements that give you more control over structural design, support larger decks, and streamline quoting for both full replacements and reface projects, all while improving accuracy and reducing manual work.

What’s New

1. Choose Your Structural Material & Joist Spacing

You can now select your preferred structural material (e.g., 2x8, 2x10) and joist spacing (12" or 16" OC) directly in the quote builder. These choices apply consistently across all pricing options and ensure your designs align with your company standards.

2. Quote Reface Projects with Ease

A new “Reface” option lets you offer customers a cost-effective alternative to full deck replacement. When selected:

  • Only decking and railing materials are included in pricing and takeoff.

  • Structural components (joists, beams, posts, footings) are automatically excluded unless you add a drop beam.

  • Dedicated reface labor rates are applied for accurate costing.

3. Auto Drop Beam Guidance

The system now checks your deck dimensions against span tables based on your selected material and spacing. If a drop beam is required for structural integrity, you’ll receive a clear prompt.

4. NEW: Lock & Unlock Feature (More Control Where It Matters)

You now have better control when entering key structural details with the new Lock & Unlock feature available in:

  • Deckbox – Dropbeam quantity

  • Landing – Height field

What This Means for You

  • Easily unlock a field to adjust values when needed

  • Lock it again to prevent accidental changes

  • Receive helpful guidance, including minimum dropbeam requirements based on your deck dimensions

This ensures your quantities and measurements stay exactly as intended, improving both accuracy and confidence in your design.

5. Larger Decks, No Limits

The previous 32-foot width limit has been removed. You can now design deck boxes up to 100 feet wide, giving you the flexibility to handle even the largest residential projects.
